Thank you to those who have made my time running the GG community enjoyable, and fun. Who made the servers a great place to play, and converse. Who didn't bring drama to the server, and made my life easier as a leader. Who valued the friendly environment I tried to accomplished. I shouldn't have to name you, as you already know. I may not be able to talk to you personally, but I still thank you.

I've added HLStatsX to the second server(Throwing Knives) server as well. However, keeping the stats separate from the main one. Since the throwing knives change the gameplay, and thus change how stats are affected.

When the CS:S update hit, I had to frantically work on getting the main server back to gungame. While doing so I set up a second server to allow me to test things while not interrupting the servers traffic. Due to many servers being down not knowing how to fix gungame, and being one of the few servers that was back up in running, We picked up traffic even to the second server instantly. Plus recently it was becoming increasingly difficult to get into the main server, having to wait 20 mins some days. A second server just had good timing. While we have tried in the past, I think we have the ability now to maintain the traffic.

Along the road of constantly tweaking things to make the server feel as much like it did as before I came upon a script for throwing knives and figured I would try it. It sounded interesting, and amusing even if for a few nights. Over the last week of having it, the server has gained enough popularity to allow us to keep the server active and going. So it looks like the second server will stay around for a while.

Some facts about throwing knives:

*Start off with 3 knives
*Right click to throw
*Damage ranges from 24-127hp
*57 to the chest, and 127 being a headshot
*When you knife someone, you get what knives they have left
*Knives travel on a slight arc
*Knives can kill even after you die

More maps will be uploaded, and I will continue to tweak the server to improve the gameplay. Suggestions are always welcomed.

Some of you may already know, but incase you dont, I have updated gungame coding to 5.1. Which is all new coding, to help optimize the performance on the server. It should help with shots registering better. Something we noticed right away. Small maps will always suffer a little, but maybe not as much as before.

Im still tweaking it, as the config is completely different. So a few things will be off until I can get everything right. Right now FF is off on nade level, which is why Im adding a poll to this thread to see what others think if it should be on or not.

One of the new features is the different guns while on nade round. Once you get a kill with one, it cycles to the next to give you better chances of getting your nade kill. Meaning you start off with a glock > USP > P228 >Deagle.

This idea came up not that long ago, and is something I have considered in the past so I figured I would give it a shot. At this point there are no benefits to wearing the tag, other then showing your love and support to the community.

You can show support by adding the following tag to your the front of your name:

The only requirements is to be registered on the forums, and have made atleast one hello post introducing yourself in the Welcome forum or in the Recruiting forum, telling us a little about yourself. This is also a good idea for those who wish to be recruited to show they are interested in becoming a full GG member.

Reminder, the is not a clan, and will not be treated as such. This is meant to be fun, and nothing more. If its becomes a hassel or start problems I will discontinue.

The second server, which no one ever knows about or uses is now under new management! GenJoker was nice enough to devote his time to try to imporve the server, and try to get traffic on it. Its not an easy task, so lets give him all the support we can.

If you have any ideas about plugins, or maps please direct them to him. He has full control, and will glady consider all suggestions.

Yet another last minute CS:S night, my bad. Wasn't sure I would be home to be able to attend and setup. So once again, we will be switching over the Reversed server to regular CS:S for the night.
